Your Questions Answered...
Do you use cry-it-out?
Crying is not a method, it’s a response your child gives when they don’t know how to do something and does not like it. I use a range of evidence‑based approaches and we choose one that aligns with your comfort level, your child’s age, temperament and your goals. Many families that work with me use very gradual, responsive methods.

Are there gentle / no-cry options?
Gentle yes, no cry - no. Your baby is going to go through changes and may not like it therefore tears are inevitable. It does not mean they will be long lived or that you are leaving your baby for hours to cry. You can be in the room holding their hand and some babies still cry.

Will you force night weaning?
Absolutely not. I have worked with a number of families who want to keep a night feed in because that is their breastfeeding journey they want to continue. Often there are signs your baby needs to reduce night feeds or shift the times and I will explain and discuss this with you before we make a plan so you are part of the decision process on what you want to do

What if we co-sleep or room-share?
Co-sleeping may be one of the reasons your baby is not consolidating sleep. I will always advise you to stop co-sleeping so you can reach your goals. If you wish to continue to co sleep then I am not your person. You need to be ready to stop co-sleeping and then I can help you.
Room sharing is not a problem however I will say that most babies from 6m up through to toddlers sleep better in their own room.

Can we still respond to our baby at night?
Absolutely yes! This is not extinction or hours of crying. My sleep training programs are built around responsiveness and your parenting style. Your baby still needs a hug in the night or a feed, you will be there!
What ages do you work with?
I work with expecting parents though to 4 years old. My newborn package is designed to inform and educate on newborn sleep, expectations, what is to come and how to manage it. From 5m we can start sleep training. My toddler packages are designed to be fun and interactive for your child and you.

Have you worked with babies like mine? (colicky, reflux, breastfed, twins, premature, etc.)
Colic and reflux babies can be tricky but not impossible! I will always advise to have the reflux address by a reflux professional to find the root cause first and ensure it is under control. I have worked with breastfeeding babies through to 2 years old. Twins and premature babies (some of which co inside and have medical concerns) are also part of my passion for sleep training.

What if my baby is strong-willed / stubborn / sensitive?
Babies and toddlers are not robots! They have their own minds and that is where I will guide you through the best approach day and night to ensure you reach your sleep goals. Some may take longer due to their temperament but this is very normal.

What if we’ve already tried sleep training and failed?
Often there is a reason. Perhaps you were not consistent enough, perhaps the approach was not right, perhaps it was not the right time, perhaps there is an underlying issue that is not obvious to the untrained eye. Often sleep training involves more complex approaches and just using a method will not work. This is where my expertise comes in and I take a holistic approach to get to the root cause of the sleep issue and address that so sleepy training will work.
How much crying should I expect?
Babies and toddlers cry when something changes they don't like or understand. My view is that we can't stop them from ever crying but we can support them through it. Sleep training is a short process and crying is developmentally normal, but we never ignore a child or push parents past what they can handle.
Every child is different. Some cry very little; others protest change. I prepare you for what’s normal, help you respond appropriately, and adjust if something doesn’t feel right. THIS podcast explains more

Will crying harm my baby or our attachment?
No. Healthy sleep supports emotional regulation, brain development, and secure attachment, especially when parents are rested and consistent. I focus on teaching sleep skills while maintaining trust and connection.

What’s included in your package?
Analysis of your babies health, sleep diary and challenges though a questionnaire and 72 hour sleep diary. You will receive a fully customised sleep plan post our consultation, clear step‑by‑step guidance, and ongoing support so you’re never guessing what to do next. You’re not just handed a PDF you’re guided.
What happens if it doesn’t work?
We troubleshoot. Sleep is not one‑size‑fits‑all, there is always a reason and I adjust the plan based on your child’s responses and your feedback. Sleep is complex and I may need to refer you to another health professional to dive a little deeper.

How long does it usually take to see improvement?
My packages are 3 weeks because in my 9 years experience with the methods I use it takes this long. Some of course are quicker and some sensitive babies need a little more time. I have had a few take up to 6 weeks.
How much consistency is required?
I will advise you to follow my 80/20 rule. 80% (5 days) of the week for the schedule and 20% of the week (remaining 2 days) leaves some space to be more flexible. These days do not need to be consecutive. If you are not consistent then it will take longer to reach your sleep goals.
Can we still travel / attend events?
Of course you can but I do advise not to travel whilst sleep training unless you can follow the plan.

What about daycare schedules?
We work around them and with them!

What if one parent isn’t on board?
Then you have 2 options, to do this yourself or discuss with them sleep training is not just about getting more sleep it's about your mental, emotional and physical all round health. For you and your baby. Sleep is complex and sleep training is not just about a method from google, it's getting deep into the root cause of the sleep issue and a professionally trained sleep consultant who works with you can see things you may not have.

Will we have to live on a strict schedule forever?
Does anyone?! Not at all but I do say my 80/20 rule will help a lot. Children thrive on routines It supports their emotional regulation and circadian rhythm. Equally it helps them learn what is coming next and what is expected of them.
What training or certification do you have?
I have done 2 sleep training courses equivalent to level 5. I also have a certificate in childcare and education as I worked in the childcare sector for 20 years before I became a mummy myself!

How long have you been doing this?
9 years and counting! I first started supporting local families in London before moving to Spain with my family and now I support families around the world in places such as USA, Kenya, Hong Kong, Australia and Europe as well as my home - UK!

What makes you different from other consultants?
I don’t sell methods, I solve problems and give solutions. My work is rooted in development, emotional safety, and realistic family dynamics, not rigid rules.

Why should I choose you?
Because I don't sell methods, I solve problems to make sleep happen because you all need sleep and now!
